posted on by Gia Manry
The media distribution site Crunchyroll announced on Wednesday that it will simulcast the TV anime adaptation of Kenta Shinohara's comedy manga Sket Dance. Episodes will be available to premium users world-wide starting on April 7 at 3a.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST), 30 minutes after the series airs in Japan. Free users will be able to view the episodes one week after their launch, but only in the following regions: the United States and its territories, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.
Shinohara's original manga revolves several students in a high school who form the "Sket Group" to solve any trouble in the student body. Publisher Shueisha announced the TV anime adaptation this past October in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, and an online flash anime OAV of the series was announced earlier this month.
The series is one of several revealed last week by Crunchyroll's application for the iPhone and iPad, where it was listed under the "Manage Notifications" feature.
