posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Netflix began streaming a trailer on Friday for the new kids anime Dino Girl Gauko (Kyōryū Shōjo Gauko). Netflix's website is streaming the trailer with an English dub, and the Netflix Kids & Family YouTube channel is streaming it with English subtitles.
The anime will debut on Netflix on November 22.
Akira Shigino (Osomatsu-kun, Nanako SOS, Crayon Shin-chan movies 17 and 18) is directing the anime at Ascension. Kimiko Ueno (Crayon Shin-chan) is writing the anime.
Variety describes the anime:
The comedy series is set in Japan and follows Naoko Watanabe, a typical tween girl aside from the fact that she possesses strange and sometimes troubling powers. When her anger exceeds a maximum level, she turns into Gauko, the fire-breathing dinosaur girl.
The first episode, "Dad's Little Secret" ("Otōsan no Himitsu"), competed in the TV Films category of this year's Annecy International Animation Film Festival in June.
