MVM has Tweeted the following acquisitions:
Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Season 3 Collectors Edition (pictured top left) will have an "ETA" release in September. This season was broadcast from October 2020, and in the story, Bell encounters an injured vouivre (dragon-type monster girl) in the Dungeon, who can talk. His decision to protect the girl, who will come to be called Weine, upends everything he and his familia thought they understood about monsters.
Princess Principal: Crown Handler Parts 1 and 2 (pictured top right), with Part 1 having an "ETA" release in August. These are the first two parts of the six-part Princess Principal: Crown Handler film series, which follows on from the original steampunk-action TV series Princess Principal. Sentai Filmworks has described the story of the first film:
"Following the attempted assassination of the Queen, manhunts for spies become a frequent occurrence within the Kingdom. In response, Control — the Commonwealth's covert operations group — begins to suspect the presence of a double agent within the Kingdom's royal family. In order to reveal the truth, Control dispatches spy ring “Team White Pigeon.” But danger lurks around every corner, and when you don't know who you can trust, being a spy has never been more perilous for Ange and the rest of Team White Pigeon."
One of MVM's already-announced acquisitions, the Viking drama Vinland Saga (pictured at the bottom), will have a Collector's Edition in August. Sentai Filmworks described the anime:
"Raised on tales of the legendary land of Vinland, where warmth and plenty abound, young Thorfinn dreams of leaving behind the cold climate of Iceland and venturing into the great unknown. But when Viking sails appear on the horizon, the young boy is conscripted into a life of violence and brutality at the hands of merciless Viking Askalaad. With nothing left to him save revenge, Thorfinn swears vengeance against the man who slew his family, plunging headlong into a sprawling, blood-soaked, coming-of-age epic that marches to the drums of war."
The anime premiered in July 2019. Shūhei Yabuta (Inuyashiki Last Hero director, Attack on Titan 3D director) directed the anime at Wit Studio (Attack on Titan, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, The Ancient Magus' Bride).
