Pops Racer, Speed's father, doesn't think anyone can. Years before Pops had that same engine, the GRX, buried after it caused the deaths of several test drivers.
But the devilish and wealthy Oriena and her gang have dug up the GRX and put it into a new race car body to enter the Oriental Grand Prix. Oriena has also invented a formula that speeds up the driver's reflexes to survive the GRX's fantastic speeds - at least long enough to insure that her car will win.
