Speed wants the prize money to go to his father, Pops Racer, whose new designs will turn Speed's car, the Mach-5, into the fastest race car on any track and the greatest crime-fighting weapon in the world. But it's not going to be easy - someone is out to steal the designs and will stop at nothing to get them.

It's Speed Racer, with the help if his girlfriend Trixie, his pal Sparky, his kid brother Spridle, and Spridle's pet chimp Chim Chim, to the exciting rescue.

2, THE SECRET ENGINE

SPEED RACER attempts to stop a mysterious gang led by escaped convict Tounge Blaggard. The gang is after a Model T car owned by kindly old Lightfingers Klepto who inherited the car years before when his father was shot down by gangsters. What no one but Bloggard knows is that the Model T's engine is the key to a fantastic treasure.

When Speed and Mr. Klepto are captured by the gang, Speed's girlfriend Trixie, his father Pops Racer, his older brotehr Rex, younger brother Spridle and their pet monkey Chim Chim must do everything they can to help Speed save Mr. Klepto and the treasure from the gang's evil clutches.
