After the gunfight in the last episode, if you look at the empty casing laying around, they spell DEATH. Kind of odd for an anime about martial arts.

In the 22nd episode, "the chief of the junfan kung fu club, 3rd rank, Inosato Dan", looks a bit like Bruce Lee in his trademark yellow suit with black lining at the sides, with the colors of the suit being inverted (black suit with yellow lining at the sides). Later on, this character does a scene with nunchakus, which is an other Bruce Lee trademark

Dan Inosato is tribute to Dan Inosanto and Bruce Lee. Dan Inosanto was one of Bruce opponents in the film "Game of Death" who fought him with a stick and nunchuck.

Dan Inosanto is also the trainer and real-life best friend of Bruce Lee. He is made to look like Bruce Lee. Hence this is a reference to both of them
