This series is based loosely on the adventures of the fictitious Yaji and Kita from humorous Edo-period novel "Shank's Mare." Yaji and Kita are popular Japanese characters, this time translated into an action-filled shoujo manga series that ran from 1984-1992 and again from 2004-present in Bonita Comics.
