Trivia:
The American release "Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs" had a total of 52 episodes, some of which were of original American animation since some of the original episodes were left out due to content.
In the original Japanese version, there really wasn't a leader of the team; otherwise, Shinji Hikari (Fireball in the U.S. version) was the team commander in most of the episodes. Creative editing by World Events Productions made the British character Richard Lancelot what we now know as the team leader Saber Rider.
