Trivia:
In episode nine, when Haruhi asks Kyon for a story idea and she first ignores him, her computer is clearly visible on her desk. Once Kyon states his idea a few seconds later, the computer disappears.
The 'Nagato route' scene in the dating sim Nagato creates in episode 25 is a direct reference to a scene and illustration in The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya.
