Indian Multiplex Chains PVR, Inox Merge

Entertainment news magazine Deadline reported on Monday that the PVR Group and Inox Leisure are merging to form the largest multiplex chain in India. The deal is in process and still subject to regulatory approval.
According to The Times of India, the company will have 1,546 screens across the country after the merger, owning 16-17% of total screens in India and 44%-50% of multiplex screens. The PVR Group currently has approximately 850 screens and Inox has around 650.
PVR Pictures, the production and distribution section of PVR Cinemas, has recently released content such as the Sword Art Online the Movie -Progressive- Aria of a Starless Night anime film and the Kimetsu Orchestra Concert in Indian theaters.
