Nintendo Switch Console Sells 15 Million Units in N. America

Nintendo announced in a press release on Thursday that its Switch and Switch Lite consoles have sold more than 15 million units in North America. Nintendo cited internal data as its source.
Nintendo stated that according to NPD Group, the Switch has been the best-selling game console for 10 months in a row in the United States. The company also stated that 14 Switch games have sold more than 1 million copies in North America, with the following four games selling more than six million copies: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Nintendo stated in July that the console has sold 36.87 million units worldwide as of June 2019.
The Nintendo Switch console launched worldwide on March 3, 2017. The Switch Lite handheld system launched on September 20.
