Anime NYC Convention Draws 36,000 Attendees in 2nd Year

Anime NYC founder Peter Tatara announced on the convention's official Twitter account on Tuesday that this year's event had 36,000 attendees from all 50 states and more than 15 countries, including Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, England, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Russia, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates.
The convention took place at the Javits Center in New York City from November 16-18. The event had 220 exhibitors, 240 artists, and 60 guests. It also hosted the convention's first Anisong World Matsuri
Next year's Anime NYC will take place from November 15-17. Tatara mentioned that the staff will add a new hall to double the event's exhibit space.
Anime NYC is in its second year; it debuted in November 2017.
