ufotable's Machi Asobi Events Have Had Over 1 Million Attendees Since 2009

The organizers of the Machi Asobi event revealed on Monday that as of the 21st event, the events have had over 1 million total attendees since the events began in 2009. The 21st event took place in Tokushima from September 22 to October 8.
Animation studio ufotable (The Garden of Sinners, Fate/Zero, Katsugeki: Touken Ranbu) founded the event in 2009. The event is not held in one location, and is instead held at participating shops and other venues in Tokushima over the course of days, with guests from the industry in attendance.
In recent years, the event has been held twice a year in spring and fall. The previous event was held from May 4 to 6.
