Sony Interactive Entertainment announced on Friday that Clap Hanz and Japan Studio's Everybody's Golf (Minna no Golf VR) PlayStation 4 game is slated for release in spring 2019.
The game will support the PlayStation VR virtual reality headset. The developers are aiming to make the game accessible to golf beginners as well as experts. Players will have a 360-degree view of their surroundings, and will be able to take the course geography and direction of the wind into account when golfing. The game is compatible with the PlayStation Move motion controller, but players can still use the DualShock 4 controller.
A character named Riko will act as the player's caddy and give advice.
The Minna no Golf (lit. Everybody's Golf) franchise was previously known in the West as Hot Shots Golf, but Sony released the New Minna no Golf PlayStation 4 game under the title Everybody's Golf in August 2017.
