Downwell Game Creator Moppin Joins Nintendo

Ojiro "Moppin" Fujimoto, the creator of the Downwell video game, revealed on Tuesday that he has joined Nintendo.

Fujimoto released Downwell for PC and iOS devices in 2015, and the game then launched for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Android devices in 2016. The platform shooting game centers on a man who encounters monsters and treasure as he explores the depths of a well in a local park. The dungeon itself is procedurally generated, providing a different level design with each playthrough.
