Chocotan! Manga Ends Serialization in September
posted on by Anita Tai
This year's September issue of Shueisha's Ribon magazine announced on Thursday that Kozue Takeuchi's Chocotan! (Chocolate & Tan!) shōjo manga will end in the next issue on September 1. Ayumu Yukimori's Okitsune-sama wa Tawamuretai manga will also end in the same issue.
The 12th compiled volume of Chocotan! previously revealed that the 13th volume would be the final one.
The manga follows a talking female miniature dachshund puppy named Chocotan and Nao, the girl who owns her. The two are close friends, and Chocotan supports Nao as the girl deals with a romantic crush and life in general.
Takeuchi launched the manga in Shueisha's Ribon magazine in 2011. The manga inspired an event anime special that screened at the Ribon Festa 2013 in April of that year, and was also streamed online. The anime starred Rie Kugimiya, Ayane Sakura, Takuya Eguchi, and Mutsumi Tamura.
