The August issue of Kadokawa's Newtype magazine revealed on Saturday that The One Piece television anime series will begin the "Zou" arc from Eiichiro Oda's original manga starting with the show's 751st episode on July 31. The anime's current anime-original "Silver Mine" arc will end in the 750th episode on July 17. The anime will not air on July 24.
The anime's official website had revealed a visual for the Zou arc (pictured at right) last month.
The currently-airing "Silver Mine" arc and the two-hour One Piece: Heart of Gold television special that will air on July 16 will both tie into One Piece Film Gold.
One Piece Film Gold will open in Japan on July 23 on 743 screens, which is the largest for any Japanese film. The film will screen with English and Chinese subtitles in five cities in Japan from July 23 to August 5. The film is also getting screenings in 3D, 4DX, and MX4D.
