Comic Natalie: New Cardcaptor Sakura Manga Is A Short Story
posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
The Japanese manga and anime news website Comic Natalie reported on the new Cardcaptor Sakura manga project on Thursday, stating that the manga will be a short story. Comic Natalie did not specify if the manga will be more than one chapter long, but it and the official website for Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine both use the verb "to publish" regarding the manga instead of the verb "to serialize."
The April issue of Nakayoshi had revealed on Thursday that the members of the creative team CLAMP are publishing a new manga in their Cardcaptor Sakura franchise.
The March issue of the magazine had listed last month that the franchise would be getting a new project. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the original manga. NHK's BS Premium will re-run the Clow Card arc of the Cardcaptor Sakura anime in April, starting on April 6. A book compiling previously published illustrations (cover pictured at right) will ship on March 24. Six Animate Cafés in Japan will host a Cardcaptor Sakura theme starting on April 1.
