No Anime Nominated for Golden Globes

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominees for the 73rd Annual Golden Globes on Thursday. No anime films were nominated in the Best Motion Picture - Animated category.
The animated film nominees are:
- Anomaliasa
- Inside Out
- Shaun the Sheep Movie
- The Good Dinosaur
- The Peanuts Movie
The Golden Globes changed its rules last year to stipulate that foreign animated films must compete in the Best Animated Feature category, and are no longer eligible for the Best Foreign Language film category.
Studio Ghibli's When Marnie Was There and Mamoru Hosoda's The Boy and The Beast were nominated for this year's Annie Awards in the new Best Animated Feature-Independent category. These two films, along with the religious anime film The Laws of the Universe Part 0, were submitted for Oscar nominations in the Best Animated Feature category.
The awards ceremony will be held on January 10, 2016.
