The October issue of Kadokawa's Dengeki G's Comic magazine revealed on Saturday that Daisuke Moriyama will draw a one-shot manga titled "Mahō Ineko to Garasu no Kutsushita" (The Magic Cat Doctor and the Glass Stockings) in the magazine's next issue, which Kadokawa will publish on September 30. The manga is part of the same series as Moriyama's previous one-shot manga titled "Mahō Ineko to Ibara Hime" (The Magic Cat Doctor and Sleeping Beauty), which he published in ASCII Media Works' Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine in 2008.
The original "Mahō Ineko to Ibara Hime" centers around Mikage, a girl in an all-girl's academy who enlists the help of the academy's resident witch doctor, a supernatural cat demon. Together, they attempt to solve the mystery of why Mikage's friend Rinne won't wake up.
Moriyama launched his Chrono Crusade manga in Fujimi Shobo's Monthly Dragon Magazine in 1999, before transferring it to Monthly Dragon Age in 2003, and ending it in 2004. Gonzo adapted the series into a television anime in 2003. ADV and later Funimation licensed and released the anime in North America. ADV Manga released all eight volumes of the Chrono Crusade manga in English from 2004 to 2006, but it currently remains unlicensed in North America after the closure of ADV Manga.
Moriyama also launched his World Embryo manga in Shonengahosha's Young King Ours magazine in 2005, and concluded it in May last year. Dark Horse Comics licensed the manga in 2008, but has not yet released any of the manga in North America.
