This year's March issue of Shogakukan's Monthly Cheese! magazine is announcing on Saturday that Rei Tōma's new manga will be titled Suijin no Hanayome (Bride of the Water God).
The manga has the same basic premise of Mi-Kyung Yun's Bride of the Water God manhwa: a young girl who is chosen by a village as a sacrifice to the water god who causes calamity in their village when angered. Dark Horse Comics publishes the manhwa in English.
The series will begin in the April issue on February 24. The same issue will also premiere En Hanaya's Motokare←Retry manga.
Tōma ended her Rokka Melt - Fiancé wa Yukiotoko (Rokka Melt - Fiancés Are Abominable Snowmen) manga in the magazine's January issue. Tōma's previous series, Dawn of the Arcana, ended its run in Cheese! last year. Viz Media licensed the series and published the 13th and final volume in North America in September.
