First time hearing about this series but I must admit when I saw the thumbnail image I thought the same thing. It's quite magnificent haha

I don't know. After Riding Bean the author moved on to Gunsmith Cats and changed Rally Vincent's character design. Having read all the volumes and seen the OVA, I much prefer Indian Rally to Aryan Rally. just can't picture her as anything but.

Maybe in the Blu-Ray release they can digitally color...nevermind. I just realized how inadvertently racist that sounded.

30,000 is barely even a risk... They'll need good stretchgoals, maybe like another few hundred thousand to push for a BD remaster of Gunsmith Cats in Japan and to pay for the license.

Oh yes! Smile The one and only show where car crashes sounds more like the breaking of glass/ porcelain. The eccentric voice acting in the English version of Riding Bean just makes the show even funnier in certain cases, in a "so-bad-it's-good" sort.

Edit: Alright! 3600 posts!

Three crowdfunding anime productions in one month? Escaflowne, Skip Beat!, and Riding Bean...and I have a convention at the end of the month.

I am going to be so broke in April. R.I.P. Happy dammit. X_X

After the Escaflowne campaign, I think we'll see a lot more titles popping up on crowdfunding sites. Maybe even this month.

Crowdfunding a niche release for 30,000 > Crowdfunding a dub for 150,000.

I'll be backing this, come Sunday.

I've always wondered...is it supposed to be "Larry"?

Misidentifying Western names that end in "y" as feminine? Solty Rei did that with a girl named Jeremy.

I am wondering how they are going to get a standard length artbook with that much material for a single OVA that only clocks into 50 minutes. Confused And like walw6pK4Alo said, stretch goals might be needed, why not do what that new Death Note box collection is doing and include some manga or something that didn't get a US release previously?

For a stretch reward, it is obvious: there must be spoiler[ a bullet-proof headband.] Very Happy Nothing else will do.

Unless, for $1,000,000, you get the car.

Very Happy

It was supposed to be "Larry". Named after the old television actor Larry Vincent.

Yo dudes, there ARE stretch goals for the project. <3 They're just located down at the very bottom of the page:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/madoverlord/1156174822?token=f3aee3c4

I worked on OnV with Robert (CrowdProduction) and the amount of love and work that goes into these is insane.

And as for "dat chin"--Mmmmmmyes. Very Happy

I wish somebody would license rescue the Gunsmith Cats OVA. It's no masterpiece, but it was a fun romp. You wouldn't even have to do a new English dub, because remarkably, the ADV dub is presentable.
