I fully anticipate the postmortem from Cartoon Brew that once again proves the suckiness of the Academy's voters in regards to animation... even if Inside Out deserved to win, which it probably did.

Yeah, I can't see a situation where Inside Out didn't win. Even without it being in contention, they'd have probably gone for some other foreign option.

Inside Out was inevitable, but even so it deserved every bit of that win.

Shaun the Sheep deserved to win.
Also, give this a watch (it's safe for work). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsvMt6VAv4Y&ab_channel=theflippist |

No hate here, I loved Inside Out. The running gag with the gum commercial had me on the floor

And Disney Pixar won the Disney Pixar award. Shocker. Deserving or not it does get tiresome knowing every year short of a meteor speeding across the skyline right at the moment the envelope is opened they are going to win best animated feature film award. Oh well. I'll just keep enjoying hearing the Mad Max music come on every few minutes or so.

Great for Bear Story, they deserved it.
The short was depressing yet sweet. |

At least Pixar actually deserved it this year. They, or Disney, win every year (pretty much since Shrek came out, though I think they took a year off when Cars 2 came out, not even the academy could pretend that one deserved to win), but don't actually deserve it every year (like last year). But Inside Out actually is worthy and it deserved it, I just rather wish it wasn't such a given, despite that.

I'm always rooting for a non-3D film to win. That's only happened once with Spirited Away.

It's 2008 (and Wall-E) all over again:
Inside Out winning Best Animated was losing Best Picture--It's an insult. |

Definitely got no complaints about Inside Out's win, it was a beautiful movie, although I'm still bitter about Big Hero 6. I was alright, but not Oscar-worthy

Shrek, Wallace & Gromit, Happy Feet, and Rambo are the only non-Disney films to win the award. Monsters Inc and Cars are the only Pixar films to be nominated and NOT win. It is a little ridiculous... |

A lot of people talking about how Disney/Pixar always win, so I thought I'd see what the studio breakdown is since they started handed these things out. Here are the winners by studio:
Pixar - 8 Disney - 2 Dreamworks - 2 Studio Ghibli - 1 Aardman - 1 Nickolodeon - 1 Warner Bros - 1 So there you have it. It turns out it's not usually Disney/Pixar that wins, but simply Pixar. Disney has only won twice in 16 years. That's nothing outrageous. I understand Disney bought Pixar a while back, but they're still two separate studios. |

I agree Inside Out definitely deserved the Oscar this year even though I don't watch the Oscars and never will Inside Out is a pretty great movie.
