Already have the Japanese edition of this book. I'd contribute to the Kickstarter, but shipping to the Philippines isn't available.

While KS does have the right to allow or disallow certain products, it's been overly vague. I remember when they banned Sekai's 18+ dakimura, so I hope that a similar incident doesn't occur here. I wonder how Legend of the Overfiend will do? This KS should be safe since the book in question is vanilla.
Wait, since they allow 18+ books, do games like Libra and Muv Luv have to keep pretending they aren't releasing an 18+ version? |

I was sure this wasn't allowed on Kickstarter. Pornographic materials are on their list of prohibited items.

While the volume in question may contain only vanilla stories, there's no way that's true for the "add-ons".
If Kickstarter doesn't close this project then it's pretty safe to say that any porn (or at least hentai) is allowed. |

Judging by previous successful projects with erotica/porn on Kickstarter they seem to specifically ban live-action pornography. After that whatever is deemed "offensive". Which the vagary of that is concerning, especially when people do seem to do due diligence in checking with KS about their policy.
Just have to see if someone reports this first campaign for something what happens. Personally while I have found some things they've licensed offensive or questionable, that doesn't mean I would want to take away other people's fun. I also find it interesting Project-H is requiring people contact them about shipping to their country when the BL campaigns have been set to anywhere. I'm always very cognizant of shipping methods and import restrictions regarding adult material and the books from Juné and 801 Media are no exception. |

I hate to say it, but the "average person" can get offended by pretty much anything. Hope this doesn't get taken. I'll be curious to see if this meets the goal.

The kickstarter folks seem to be somewhat arbitrary. The Grisaia kickstarter had to be restarted, because Kickstarter didn't like the dakimakuras in the reward tiers (and they couldn't adjust the tiers, so they had to restart the kickstarter to change them), but ultimately, Grisaia still had some pretty risqué stuff in the add-ons (IIRC, they might have even still had the dakimuras there). The Project-H folks probably risk some of the same with the posters that they have for some of the higher pledge levels, but it likely ultimately depends on what the kickstarter folks notice and decide to take offense to. Hopefully, they don't run into problems, but it was suggested that the Grisaia folks came under scrutiny because of how quickly they were raising money, and this kickstarter is in a similar boat. So, we'll just have to wait and see. But notice that the Vanilla Essence kickstarter goes to great lengths to talk about how Vanilla Essence is "vanilla" hentai where romance is big and whatnot and doesn't contain anything morally reprehensible, and I'd guess that that's at least in part to try and make it seem more acceptable to the kickstarter folks and reduce the risk of getting taken down. Ultimately, it seems like certain things are clearly banned by the kickstarter folks, whereas other things are banned or not depending on how the kickstarter folks are feeling at the moment and how they perceive what's being offered. But I'd say that any kickstarter involving pornography is at some risk of being pulled down - especially if it contains risqué add-ons that are obviously pornographic at a glance without requiring that you even figure out what the product they're actually kickstarting is. I really hope this Kickstarter doesn't run into any problems, but it wouldn't surprise me if the add-on posters got them in trouble even if the manga itself didn't. |

People like porn. This shouldn't be a surprise. |

Why do you support the crap you like? Judgmental opinions aside, from what I've noticed with kickstarter and erotic comics, it's more of the presentation and the rewards of the kick starter, vs the actual content. Hence why we have REALLY bright white glowing areas over all the nipples and such for their kickstarter page. I'm really excited for this and the Smut Peddler kickstarter. They actually have Gail Simone working on a project there. |

At the rate that this kickstarter is getting backers, it wouldn't surprise me if it were funded by morning. It's currently at $26,092 out of $27,000 with 400 backers, and it started only two days ago. Unless it slows way down, it's definitely going to hit its stretch goals. Having it mentioned on ANN probably helped - speaking of which, I have to thank the ANN staff for mentioning this. I would have completely missed it otherwise.

I've checked out the Kickstarter page for this and, well, for a hentai fan like myself this is an offer that's hard to refuse.
Looks like I'm backing this one. Wish me luck |

Yeah, good luck with that. In a different note, I think it would be nice if crowdfunding services, like KickStarter, added an Adult Only section, where visiting that section will require some sorts of authentication (like date of birth or something). I find that whole "pornographic material is bad, explosions and decapitations are good" mentality quite weird; one can promote a book filled with descriptions of violence, but not a book with the description of procreating Edit: currently, out of the $27,000 Target Goal, they've gathered $26,782.
