As a fan of the FD anime, I looked into Big Order a bit and it sounded interesting. Happy to see I'll be able to check out the anime, maybe we'll end up seeing the manga get licensed.

Probably a 1-cour show. I would've preferred that they waited until the manga was over and then go full adaptation, like with Mirai Nikki.

Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm not familiar with the source material), but I think it's Taira no Kagekiyo, not Kagekiyo Tairano. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taira_no_Kagekiyo Last edited by KutovoiAnton on Thu Oct 22, 2015 6:29 am; edited 1 time in total |

We did notice that the name kanji was the same as the historical figure, but the Japanese Wikipedia lists the name in Big Order as Kagekiyo Tairano, and Kadokawa has no official furigana listing for the name either. For now, we've chosen to use what the Japanese Wikipedia entry is using, but if the official romanization or furigana listing is different (say after the website for the anime opens), we'll be sure to change it at that time. |

This series had me at the premise. That does not happen often.
Also, the fact that Esuno Sakae is the creator makes this a must-watch for me. |

The manga isn't very good, even the manga scanlators gave on it.

ALL ABOARD THE HYPE TRAIN!!!!!
Seriously though, I enjoyed Future Diary as a crazy psychological thriller. I've read as much of the manga as has been translated. The site for the person translating it said they didn't get the raws, but at this point it was probably stopped because it was a one-person group trying to do it. I just worry about how they are going to end it. With it being a monthly series (I think), there could be up to 10 volumes worth of material there, so a 1 cour adaptation would just be awful. Unless it ends up being split-cour to allow for more of the manga to be released. (which is what i'm hoping for). I have no idea if the manga is close to ending, but an anime original ending for this would be a shame. I hope this anime encourages VIZ or someone to license the manga in the US. |
