This sounds exactly like Chunibyu, but it's written by the author of Humanity Has Declined, so it's hopefully going to be different and interesting.

A beg to differ, but KyoAni's Chuunibyou series (at least the first season) is a well done anime that has some interesting things.

I meant that it won't be a complete knock-off is all, I'm not saying this'll be better, just different and interesting in its own right.

It sounds like Chunnibyou but its quite a bit different. Its a lot more serious and realistic, and deals quite a bit with bullying. Its good though, and I'm glad Sentai licensed it. I've been wanting to own this movie for a while and was disappointed no one had picked it up yet.

It was a surprisingly good film which shows chuuni syndrome in a less glamorous light than anime usually tries to frame it. The story has some pretty nasty bullying and genuine social isolation, and the theme of suicide and whether it's the answer is also explored. It's worth a watch.

personally, i don't read review or the description when it comes to anime.... just knowing the title and looking at the cover picture is enough

I like the surprise most anime movie/series have to offer

so as i'm watching this movie

2-3 minutes in... i thought i was watching something right out of Fate series

but then about 8-9 minutes in.. yeah.. this is similar to Chuunibyou +school drama

"reprogram" yup... that's one way of doing it Wink

This was a good movie.

....why does does this sound so familiar? Could be that Sentai recently released a TV anime that had similar plot that must have sold really well and now they are trying to go after other things like it? Nah, couldn't be.

Also Sentai, please license Hyouka.
