I wish they'd release a Lum with a mini electric shock.

Nice to see that Lum is being semi-correctly referred to as "Lum Invader" (although when Onsen-mark calls the roll in school, she only goes by the one name, or "Lum the Invader" in formal situations)--
As a while back in the 90's/00's fan-fiction circuit, there was this looney idea going around the fan ether that her last name was "Redet". I couldn't honestly tell you why if you asked me. (But since her Dad identifies himself as "Invader-san" when he appears in Ataru's bedroom in the first episode, we must assume that is the family name.) |

That figure looks gorgeous. Not sure if I'd be willing to pay that much for it though.

$130??? Is there anybody left who'd pay that kind of money? I just kinda assumed all the UY diehards already did that a long time ago.
Now, if it did have a little electric shock, that would be different... |

My fandom body has been ready for this since forever. My wallet, on the other hand, is an entierly different story.

I'd be prepared to pay that kind of money for a good Lum figure of that size. However, I don't like this one at all. There is something off about her face, she looks rather glazed. Also, apart from the thighs, they made her too skinny (especially her arms and her midrif). There are smaller Lum figures out there which are far cheaper and better realized than this one.

I would think that the Japanese Ataru (also, the Japanese Piccolo) would very much enjoy this for two reasons: First, he was the star of the show. Second, he has a large figure collection in his home (in the hundreds).

This is a 1/4 or larger figure. For a figure that size that is a very reasonable price. Many 1/6 or 1/8 figures are going for more than $130. If you think that is expensive, you haven't been buying many figures lately.

This new figure of Lum Invader looks beautiful! The improved color detail has been a real help to her long hair.

I didn't realize Lum's eyes were yellow, though; always thought they were blue.

Not bad, but it seems so plain compared to what companies can do with figure poses and clothing options these days.

The anime has blue eyes. The manga when colored has yellow eyes although there are some when it's blue. The manga coloring has even given Lum purple hair, red, and orange and red. All of Rumiko Takahashi's series except Rinne from what I see of the manga covers. Has given characters multiple hair colors, eye colors etc for the manga colors on the covers. Inuyasha's clothing has even been pink. |

Perhaps the color of Lum's hair and eyes change according to her mood and/or surroundings?
