15 years, I do think he's earned a good long rest. Very Happy

And at least the fans and the creator can agree on one thing:
Please let it/him rest.

Just let it end at last, not like some other shonens in mid-way (HxH, Berserk etc)

I highly doubt that Kishimoto will continue writing Naruto, but I also think that the Naruto franchise will continue well beyond Kishimoto's departure. I think that Kishimoto's recent lackluster performance is just a hook for the next generation. I don't think they'll anytime soon give Naruto the perfect ending that plays like an ending and let the franchise RIP. Like others have speculated, I too wouldn't be surprised if Naruto dies in the upcoming movie.

He should make his previous one-shot, "Karakuri," into a series. That actually had an interesting premise. Now that he's a Shounen Jump Veteran, it might actually have a chance.

Berserk's a seinen and it's currently out of the hiatus.

I'm glad he's taking a rest, too many mangaka and novelist die from listening to fans and making sequels too fast with no break.

For how long? I can't see that lasting too long unless Idolm@ster 3 turns out to be a piece of crap when it's shown at TGS.

As much trash as I find the franchise, I can't help but feel sorry for him despite him creating said trash. Guy deserves a break

Please, for the love of god no more Naruto. It has enough bonus finale content and pseudo-sequels as it were, and the series has continually gotten worse, just end it already and bank on the longevity of the fanbase I guess.

I really love Naruto. Naruto will always be in my heart. Thank you Kishimoto for creating such a wonderful series. I don't care if you continue it or not, you deserve a LONG rest! I am very excited and can't wait to see the Boruto Movie though!! Very Happy

For Kishimoto to respond "I can't. Please let me rest now." ... give that man a freakin break right now. That is not ok to push someone that much.

So a 1 year break before he's bored and starts a new series which then bombs within 2 years followed by another year break and then a return to the Naruto universe.

MORE NARUTO IN 2019 YAY!

But seriously all this 'Naruto will continue without Kishimoto' is such nonsense and happens every time a big series ends we had it when Inuyasha ended, we had it with Reborn and well probably get it every time a 10+ year long series ends

I believe I said this before but I got a bad feeling that naruto is going the way of DB-DBZ with how much content is being pushed out and "fans" still want part 3. I for one spent the last 10 years on the show because I got to it late in high school so I had a civil duty to finish it. I hope all of this dosen't kill the guy because the same thing happened to toriyama and he ended up being burnt out after buu so "if" this was to continue let's say 5-10 years down the road then I'd welcome it if not then it's all gravy it's his work if he wants to do it then that's fine but don't kill yourself for the editors or the fans, do it if you feel there's something left to give.

As much as I loved Naruto and it had its struggles, it finally ended. Just let him rest, if he makes a new manga let it be a few years atleast.
