How many Japanese even get individual graves? I thought they just used the family gravestone plot and their ashes get interred with everyone else?

I've seen a number of odd tombstones over the years, including some cartoon characters such as Popeye & Bullwinkle. However, this one really takes the cake.

Credit where credit is due, the carving is top notch. I can only imagine how long that took to get it just right.

1. That's quality craftsmanship.
2. I'm surprised we didn't see this first with Evangelion all those years ago (wow it's been 20). My second guess would be K-On!, which is mentioned in the article.
