Might have to get used to this...

I'm curious to see how faithful the anime will compare to the manga and vice versa though.

Goku looks waaaaay too young.

Also, just as an aside, how can you have a three-chapter adaptation of an entire movie?

At least people know when Super takes place now(previous info made it confusing for some). Pilaf uses the dragon balls to make Goku an 18-20 year old again.

Wow he looks very young and very skinny in this. Still, the thing that's really worrying me is Toei's involvement with the anime. I've heard from several fans that the One Piece anime also by Toei is shoddily made crap.

It didn't cover the entire movie. It only covers up till the point where spoiler[Freeza announces that he's going to show Goku his new form.] After that it just goes "See the thrilling conclusion in the new movie, Resurrection F!"

Same clothes as the new movie then?

Goku always looked a lot thinner/younger in the manga than the anime. Not this much though.

guess we know when it takes place now, after FnF but before EoZ

shame I was hoping for after EoZ because it wouldn't be locked in by the ending, now there will be no sense of danger no matter what comes because we all know everyone is still around at the 28th Tenkaichi Budokai Sad

Indeed. And this is done by Akira Toriyama himself, not Toyotaro.

Dragon Ball anime never had any involvement other than Toei! Do you like what was previously done? If the response is yes, than you have nothing to worry, because is the same company as always. Nothing changed.

One Piece anime isn't shoddily made crap(unless if you think more than half of it is).
Is being the same thing for at least 7 years(360 episodes ago, starting at episode 337. And it can be argued that before that episode, things were already similar).
The universal huge popularity boost from the War arc, is from 4 years ago, where things already were like they are now.
People just love to complain, more when there is a well defined division between material, in this case the Timeskip.

V Jump's official website uses the image to advertise the Dragon Ball Super manga series:
http://vjump.shueisha.co.jp/nextinfo/index.html
Additionally, Comic Natalie notes that the image was drawn by Toyotarō, not Akira Toriyama.

While the image may have originally been used to promote the Resurrection F film, it's being touted by the magazine that will publish the new manga as art from the manga, so we will not be changing the article.

Eh, people say that about every anime based on a popular manga. There are always people who are manga fans and will condemn any anime adaption.

OP's anime isn't great art or anything, but it's very well done for what it is. It keeps the offbeat personality of the original and has one of the strongest voice casts in the industry.

And anyway, Toei made the original Dragon Ball anime, so you can probably expect Super to be of similar quality. Whether that's a good thing or not is up to you.

Running in V Jump I'm really hoping Super will run in English Weekly Shonen Jump.
