Looks like this is a straight up ripoff of Ar Tonelico, all the way down to the choose-your-own-waifu dating sim mechanics.
Will I ever get a JRPG focused around song magic that isn't immensely creepy and oversexualized? |

That's hard to say. What I don't understand is that some of the Japanese game creators must have realized the potential of western sales, but are still creating things that will probably only take off in Japan. Things such as this will never become popular in America, and the game creators know that, but they still aren't taking risks to better accommodate a larger range of audiences. Imo, they should just keep the dating sim elements to dating sim games instead of putting it in RPGs. |

Sex, romance, and music all goes hand in hand (I'm attracted to soft, angelic, and serene voices especially when they sing). Luminous Arc Infinity sounds more like your cup of tea as it's less sexualized. |

I'm of the opposite mindset. I rather prefer they include touch of visual novels in rpgs, even if the implementation is sometimes very rudimentary like it was in Tales of Symphonia it still adds a certain flavor I like... I think they've(Japanese) have tried to make western-inluenced games in hopes of reaching a wider audience, and failed, previously. Can't think of any specific titles of the top of my head right now though... |

That was poor wording on my part. Adding a touch of romance factor is very healthy for a game, because no matter in what situation you're in, love is always existent (sorry if this sounds cheesy). If it's going to be a game where the player acts as the main character, such as in RPGs, giving them the power to seek a lover isn't all that bad. However, the romance factor shouldn't be too big a part of the game, and character genders should be balanced. A choice selection of a few girls are ok, but it shouldn't be like 8 girls to choose from. |

Ugh, they still haven't found him? This is extremely disturbing. I seriously hope he is not dead. |
