I wasn't expecting this to be outsourced.

Guessing the actors from the 2001 series weren't available?

Well, color me surprised. Glad to see they remembered they still had this after so many years, unlike Yamato Resurrection...

The film was licensed by Anime Limited before Funimation got ahold of the rights, so they're handing the dub.

I could be wrong but IIRC it was either Anime Limited or Madman Entertainment who confirmed a while back that NYAV Post was doing the dub and licensed it before FUNimation. So FUNi may not have even paid for the dub; might be similar to Oblivion Island where a dub was created before the acquisition.

Ah, that explains it. Since this didn't seem to have anyone from the previous series it didn't make a lot of sense not to do it in house.

Interesting to see Jason Griffith back, and in a lead role. I remember when Sonic fans were in a furor demanding Ryan Drummond back, but when Roger Craig Smith succeeded him as the voice of Sonic, suddenly everyone wanted Jason Griffith. (According to Mike Pollock, voice of Eggman, he never even bothered to audition.)

Actually, one of the actors from the 2001 series, Michael Sorich is in this film. Although he's playing 006 instead of 007 (in the 2001 series) which is interesting.
I actually guessed on Stephanie Sheh on playing Ivan (001)

Marc Diraison in a Funimation dub? Sweet! (Yeah I know it's NYAV Post which I would love to see get more work. Great to see Michael Sinterniklaas directing another dub too).

Awesome, good to finally have a release date, day 1 on the limited edition.
The cast looks good and NYAV Post's been doing some really good work, as has Sinterniklaas.
I didn't expect it but it would have super been cool if they could have done a third limited edition with the 3D version too.

Oh yeah, just noticed that, that will be pretty interesting to hear.
Haha, nicely done.

I honestly forgot they were dubbing this, it's been so long since the announcement. In any case I expect great work out of NYAV Post and the cast looks solid, hopefully it carries over to the upcoming TV series.

Guys, I am expecting for a Los Angeles/Vancouver dub of a Japanese anime feature film (or perhaps a anime television series) for a while. You?

Doesn't matter what language it's in. This is the most pretentious anime I've ever seen in my life.
Literally, "god" is the antagonist and they defeat him by praying he stops wrecking their sh**. Then they all go to heaven. Or something.
It's painful.
