Mm, 26 episodes...
2 cour as expected but somewhat shortened. I'm still looking forward to this though as the premise has a lot of promise.

Even if each were the standard 22-25 min. length, 8 eps. on a DVD/BD vol. is a lot for the Japanese since it's usu. 2-3 eps. (4 if lucky). I'd imagine that many ep. and all the special features will make it even more expensive on Japanese BD/DVD.

The second video featuring the merchandise is totally worth watching.

Yep the last video kind of great. So Ninja Slayer - Machine of Vengeance is 5/10 shonen nonsense, Ninja Slayer - Glamorous Killers is a 4/10 shonen-ai parody (or actual shonen ai) and Ninja Slayer Kills is reasonable 7/10 manly men´s 80s seinen entertainment.
I hope that we will go route No. 3 here and Trigger will make the fans bleed with the disc sales. That is guaranteed! Does anyone know when the new Lupin will start as it is the last spring anime i am waiting on after this.

I'm really hoping this doesn't turn out to be a glorified motion comic. I know that's unlikely, but I can't shake the feeling that it might be.

Frankly, that number of episodes this show will have isn't all that interesting to me. Now, let me explain: unlike other shows this Season (or in general), this one gets released digitally. Meaning that it avoids being chained-down by regular programming schedule, and as such it can have as many episodes and as long as the studio wants (of course there's the sponsors to think about, but you catch my drift). Recent example is Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon: Crystal, which streamed once every other Saturday (the most recent episode was streamed on April 4th, the next one is due on the 18th).
I'm excited for this one

Considering the director's only series direction job is Inferno Cop, I feel like this might not be farfetched.

Some of the instruments in the music of the merchadising ad gave me a naruto vibes!

Looks pretty cool. Seems to be a mature Kamen Rider in anime form. Hopefully it delivers.

Nope, you're getting about ~17 full length episodes (390 min runtime) for 28200 Yen (MRSP for all 4 volumes), so this certainly isn't more expensive than any other Japanese volume release.

SO there's the TV show, I assume is your standard 24 show, and then after that a 15 minute ONA, will that be like those shorts you sometimes get with DVD/BD, there was some like that with Bunny Drop.
I hope they don't stretch the budget to fin and have to Gainax the ending, because there is not enough money left to draw the main character cutting of the villains head off with the ring of Saturn, or whatever they have planned.

There's no TV show. What will air on TV next year will be the 15 minute ONAs that are starting this season

I am excited. Can't wait. And I've never seen Inferno Cop, but with the dramatic, colorful, and expressive visuals Trigger has delivered on other shows since then (LWA, Kill La Kill, Devil is a Part-Timer), I am going to try not to worry.
Although I did look up the plot of Inferno Cop in the ANN Encyclopedia, and there are some similarities, aren't there...
