This Spring looks fabulous tbh. So far, I liked Food Wars the most and really hope it gets a 2 cour adaptation. Dungeon is also alright although I feel like they will rush it a bit...
Also looking forward to seeing more of the sequels like Fate S2, SNAFU S2, Nisekoi:, etc. Kekkai Sensen might also be a dark horse.

Faint praise, indeed.

Waiting for Digimon Trrrrriiiiiii. And lots of other stuff too, actually - such as Seraph of the End, Arslan, more Fayt/Stay Night, the cooking anime.... I'm cheerfully adding stuff to my Funi and CR queues and I'm looking forward to the good stuff
Anywhoo, onto my thoughts:
Is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon: I give it a 3/5. It seemed pretty bland, straight-up JRPG with not much new added to it so far. I didn't find it offensive though, and at least it was pretty to look at. I'll probably check out the second episode, but I'll probably drop this one unless I am starved for something to watch on Fridays.
Food Wars!: 2/5...Okay I like cooking shows and stuff but....what the actual floop? I mean....fanservice is fine and all but that was just....uncomfortable and embarrassing to watch.
Re-kan: 3/5 Sooooo, a vaguely funny Natsume Yuujinchou without the angst or bittersweet character moments? Ehhh....but I'll still give it a shot. I'll watch until bored.

There's word online that Digimon tri is being pushed for the summer. I hope it's just a rumor, otherwise I'll start getting some nasty SMC flashbacks

I would not be surprised considering there hasn't been an animated teaser for that show yet.

Arslan Senki (ARAKAWA Hiromu) / Baby Steps:
Are direct adaptations so i will stick to the manga but they should be good.
Ghost in the Shell: Arise - Alternative Architecture:
I will watched the new content and skip through the old. So the OVA´s are useless now? Don´t sleep on the hard-canon Ghost in the Shell Sleepless Eye (9,5/10) manga.
Lupin III / Ninja Slayer From Animation:
Are wild cards and could go in any direction but will give both a chance.
Ore Monogatari!!:
The comedic timing should work great in motion so this direct adaptation i will watch.
Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo:
Had a fine first arc about the said witches and reached a clear ending point. Then it went on because of money and killed itself to become a ecchi harem shell. The anime should go for that ending point and i could thus recommend one season only but i won´t watch it.
Yu-Gi-Oh:
Is getting a remake but only of a later in the continuity arc? Well this part is easier to commercialize and i will stick to YuGiOh Abridged! Let´s see about the related nostaligia trip Digimon as the 3rd series wasn´t bad. Eh to both.
Ongoing for me are only: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 3: Stardust Crusaders Egypt Arc and Gravity Falls + Teen Titans Go! as everything is ended.
I´ll come back after all aired to evaluate if any dark house candidates show up but this is a fine selection. The anime industry realy turned things around in the last 2 years and thank god but more original content is needed.

Well it's that time again I guess, honestly not much is standing out to me this time around but hey, we'll see:
Shokugeki no Soma - 3/5
It's, er, okay, I guess. The fanservice annoys me a lot and the comedy is very hit or miss, but I do appreciate it's attempts for equal opportunity fanservice, although the male side seems to be more for comedy than titillation. I guess it could turn out well, but for now it just looks like a rougher looking Gourmet Girl Graffiti, and I didn't care for that show either

So, I think something really important to bring up as a reader of the manga is that the first 2 episodes are by far the worst offenders of the creepy fanservice in the series. Soma is a great series with fantastic character development, one of the best shonen leads in a long time, a fantastic underlying theme that is handled well, and can be very unpredictable. But a lot of that takes time to build up, and the first two episodes are by far the most in your face on the aspects of the series that will turn people off. The fanservice gets toned down a LOT as the series goes on (It's still there, mind you, but it's less common and less in your face), and many of the later reaction scenes are pretty much fanservice free and far more amusing stuff like lobster rocket launching people into space

Yay its that time again!
Quite a few things im at the very least interested in and plenty of things that im actually excited for. Should hopefully be a good season.
The real question though is which show/review will cause the thread to explode this time. Any bets yet?

I'm not sure what I'm looking forward to this season to be honest.
The winter anime season was so surprisingly good, with some really solid original shows, that it's actually making the spring season seem downright predictable in comparison.

Dunno if you're being facetious or not, but if I come across a report on a post, then I will act on it.
OK, probably act on it.....
Well, maybe act on it.....

*shrug* I just find the explosions that happen in each preview guide amusing to read through. Probably helps that I don't actually take part in any of them or have to deal with cleaning them up though.
Caught todays shows now.
Food Wars - This was...a thing. This just seems way over the top for me. Might give it one more episode but even finishing the first episode was a struggle for me.
Snafu - Oh how I've missed this. This was one of my favorites back when it was airing and easily one of the shows I was most excited for this season.
Dungeon - Im kind of mixed on this one. Normally I like these standard fantasy light novel shows and I WANT to like this one. its just way too similar to the Samayou Shinki no Duelist light novels though so I cant help but compare them. And when I do I find Dungeon lacking in every way. Ah well.

Pun intended? (Just in case: it's published by dark Horse in North America)
