I just do not know what this does to better the world. If people are that deeply concerned with innocent people being held hostage, then watching anime is not on their minds.

They say it is to be more sensitive, but both Assassination Classroom and the Psycho-Pass movie were completed before any of this happened. If you were doing a live variety show, and it included a skit involving terrorism or hostages, I would understand.

This seems like effort for nothing.

It's something called respect. Maybe you've heard of it, OP.

Don't see what this does to help anyone, but it seems the Japanese are turning as paranoid as the Yanks are.

Caller:"Hello, 110? I've [blanked] myself with a [blank] and I'm [blanking] all over the place. I've lost a lot of [blank]! Please send help quickly!"
Operator:"Sorry, sir. Your request contained inappropriate "trigger words" that have been forbidden in public discourse. We are therefore unable to assist you at this time."

Well, that's just weird. I don't know what the anime producers were thinking, telling the lyricist to remove the "bad words" even though the show is already gory as it could be.
If they wanted to remove fans speculation coming from the lyrics, I guess that's just silly. Hell, Rurouni Kenshin first opening doesn't even make any sense with the whole series.

So your claim is that they don't have respect for any non-Japanese in the world, or any of the other Japanese victims of knife violence before this?

Where did you get that from? You shouldn't make assumptions like that. It's bad for you.

The lyrics were changed for just that one performance, were they not?
If that is true then why is it a problem for anybody here?
If it is not true then I misunderstood something.

News Flash Japan

This ISIS thing has been making news all over the world well before it started to have an effect on you. Yes it's horrible, but there's no more reason to get worked up about it like this now than there has been all along. People are dying and that's a bad thing plain and simple.

Not to mention there was always a possibility something like this could happen. Don't just wait until it actually happens to go into panic mode.
