That was fun Wink

The character designs looks decent and the way the promo was shown gave me good impressions. I don't expect this to adapt too far into the manga but still excited to see this for Spring.

I hope it doesn't end up being like InuYasha, Ranma 1/2, and Urusei Yatsura where it ends up either incomplete or they just skip over to the ending leaving so much material from the manga untouched.

If it's a full adaptation this time (assuming its successful enough to keep going after this first season) I can just buy the anime and leave shelf space for other manga.

Solid animation, nice VO, interesting premise (and dialog). Looking good.

Also, now that there is a proper CM for the anime, is it necessary to embed the 2009 PV as well?

This art style is definitely not something I'm used to, but it doesn't look so weird to the point I would dislike it. The characters and animation look good so far, so I will be giving it a try when it airs.

I like the style of the characters...feels like it has been awhile since I've seen characters look like this in a new anime.

Seeing the video makes me want to get around to buying and viewing InuYasha. Gotta stop spending my money and set some aside for that series. Laughing

I have read up to 15 in the manga and am a little shocked they made this a anime, seeing as its nothing like Ranma or Inuyasha.

Well i think Kouki Uchiyama would have been nice to reprise his role as Rinne from the 2009 commercial but i think the cast in overall is great.

Anyway i am glad that Kappei Yamaguchi & Satsuki Yukino back again in a Rumiko Takahashi's show even if they're not the lead characters Smile

I hope that VIZ will pick the home release rights for it soon.

I'm pleased that Yukino Satsuki and Yamaguchi Kaipei are back in title roles! Also I'm pumped that "Minami-ke"'s Inoue Marina (Kana) is in this series as well. I can't wait. Is it April yet?

EDIT: Even if they're not lead/title characters, I'm glad "Inuyasha and Kagome" are back. Smile

I might watch it if it sticks to two cours instead of ballooning to Inuyasha levels.

The manga got kind of repetitive after a while, so I stopped reading. I hope that the anime can redeem that... Or at least make the episodes interesting enough to come back to despite being repetitive, like in ranma 1/2 or DC.

Inuyasha's manga was animated in its entirety though. That doesn't necessarily mean it was a good adaptation (I don't think it was; too many poor choices in changes), but at the very least, every arc save one or two short ones was animated as well as the end of the series.

As for UY, I never finished the anime (read all of the manga though), but I think most of the manga was animated, albeit often very altered to stretch for time. And the end of the manga was also animated, in the form of a movie. Maison Ikkoku was also entirely animated.

Ranma 1/2 is the only one that is very much incomplete. About a 1/3 of the manga was never touched, and there was never an ova, movie, etc. of the last arc.

and considering that if its just as popular as inuyasha, don't be surprised at all if viz media licensed it and they used the whole inu cast from ocean studio / the ocean group to do the dub which will mean that it will either be kirby murrow (mirouku ) or richard ian cox that will do rin-ee and kagome's VA as sakyua.
