Oh hell yes. I am definitely going to purchase some of this knowing that it's Space Brothers. Thank you Sentai Filmworks.

So Leviathan gets a dub and Space Brothers doesn't? I see someone here's got their priorities straight as usual.

It'd probably suck anyway but no dub practically guarantees no Australian release. I could live without Leviathan.

It's about time. Didn't Sentai announce the Space Brothers license like two years ago?

Article says 2012. Specifically July 2012, so yeah, over 2 years.

Maybe there were too many real-life astronauts and staff to consider dubbing over. And/or the licensor asked them not to dub over those people.

I was beginning to wonder if Space Brothers was still getting a home release. I suppose one cour sets makes sense, but for such a long series, sets with 24-25 episodes might work better.

I do not blame Sentai for not wanting to dub 99 episodes. Dubs are not cheap, you know.

Oh, finally! I had nixed Space Brothers from my future list, assuming it wasn't coming out, but now I can safely add it back on again! I almost never buy any anime from Sentai (even though good ol' ADV was my go-to back in the day) because I'm not into boob anime and that seems most of what they have these days, but now I can finally buy something from them!

Now, Blu-ray or DVD? I only got a PS3 last year and an HDTV half a year ago and I'm not used to the idea of buying things on blu-ray (though I've bought some combo packs for movies and such), I'm not sure what to do.

Unless your friends mostly own DVD players and you share a lot, I'd get Blu-ray. lol It's pretty much what I bought the PS3 for. While I wanted one to play localized Japanese games, I have actually yet to play a single game on it after nearly two years. I just use it for Crunchyroll, Netflix, and my anime collection...

I'm actually disappointed Space Brothers is not getting an english dub. It's good to finally know a release date for the 1st set though.

Mad Ugh. Talk about a horrible month for dubs. Not even the one show I was actually gonna buy got dubbed. And once again, they choose to dub a title nobody even asked for! I understand the Hoozuki show, and Golden Time and Reideen were more or less givens, but Space Brothers was one of the company's most anticipated series, and Engaged to the Unidentified was one of the winter season's few relative successes. Sentai really pisses me off sometimes.

I don't really mind it not being dubbed, the problem is that it makes it highly unlikely that we will see a release in the UK. As the few we do get are either Movies or short TV shows.

I'm looking forward to seeing the English version of Leviathan ~ The Last Defense. Smile
It's pretty sad that Space Brothers will be subtitled-only, but I can't recall Sentai having dubbed a show that lasted more than 26 episodes...

Golgo 13 = (50 episodes)

Phi Brain: Puzzle of God S1 + S2 = (50 episodes) *will dethrone Golgo when season 3 is dubbed --> 75 episodes

Clannad + After Story = (49 episodes)

Hakuoki S1 + S2 + S3 + OVAs = (40 episodes)

cool, that means that other sub only BD releases could get a new dub-release down the line as well.

Go Maoyu...Go DMC
