For some reason this anime draws very few comments in the anime forum, and it appears the same here as well.
It has a lot going for it, but the one thing that stands out for me is we have a male harem lead who isn't a mostly-melted puddle of jello or an over the top macho or playboy type. He brings his own agenda and his own abilities to the party. And he relates to the different girls each in their own way which makes for a somewhat less boring harem. One does have to wonder how long they will stretch out the denial premise -- where everyone pretends they are enemies when in fact they have all become fast friends. In that way it is sort of like Hanagai which kept it up for at least 20 episodes. Definitely in the top five of the season. |

I find it a funny show. Latest episode certainly had a drama twist in it, I curious how its going work itself out.
The Lead spoiler[I wonder if their going resolve where his powers are coming from. There was the first episode when he fell into the hole ran into that spirit.] Hopefully the with end of the series fast and coming it will work out well and be amusing in the end. |

well as someone who has read the light novels there is a ton of crazy shit that happens that still hasn't been explained. It also explains the connection between him and the girls and where he gets this fighting ability from. Novels are still on going tho so who knows what other things are going to be thrown out |

with those really long spell names and cast times, I wonder what would happen if an attack were to hit before a magical girl finished the incantation

I thought this would be an early drop, but it has held on.
The early game playing for room space gimmick has been dropped, and replaced with character interactions. It is for the better, and I look forward to it each week. |

It is difficult to comment on a show that you have "seen" before, even if it is executing the task well. It is arguably better than most dime a dozen harem series and (usually) knows how to do a joke without being insulting to the characters or the audience. |

What I have been expecting to see for some time and finally did in Episode 11 is the unravelling of the enmity between the contestants for Apt. 106. Here we learn that the strongest contender, Kiriha, never really intended to win in the first place. No doubt she gets a lead on points and then intentionally loses.
What is most interesting about this show is that it has turned out to be a harem series but doesn't feel like it. |

It's best to consider this show an ad of sorts for the light novel which is fairly popular, and ongoing(18 volumes so far). The 12 episodes only nudged the story, and unless they had chosen to go for an anime original ending it was pretty obvious from the get-go it wasn't going to have definite closure. If the disc and merch sales are good enough, or if the novel gains huge uptick in popularity because of this adaptation, there is a chance for a sequel for sure. But, while I did enjoy this show, I don't think this will be such a 'hit', maybe they'll get even but not enough to justify one. Sure I would love to watch further, but honestly, I don't think that will happen. I wouldn't mind if someone proved me wrong on this though... |

Light novel readers confirm there IS a time-crossing connection between Koutarou and Harumi. In fact, spoiler[he's got time-crossing connections with ALL the apartment girls, his landlady, and the mystical white-haired Goddess figure he met way back in episode 1. This will tie back to the eventual multiple-universe adventure saga of future volumes, as well as who the Blue Knight really is.] |

I agree wight he Ep 12 review that although another season might be welcome, the padding they put in to set it up was not. It just wasn't necessary.
The set up a lot of sub-stories that need resolution. Yurika's fight against the evil magical girls, the politics and needs of the Earth people, a pending space battle. There's lots of stuff that could be developed in the next season. Overall I was reasonably entertained -- the strong part of IOTR had to do with the reasonably appealing personalities of not only the girl characters but the male lead. They managed to make humor without nosebleeds, unexpected nudity, and the without making Satomi act like a complete idiot. More of that please. |

So is the show going to go on is the question. It going be different from the light novels, that least the impression I've gotten.

Seems to be a very interesting novel. I can not wait to read it myself. The combination of genres makes me look forward to my own time with it.
