By the 'first one,' you mean from the first F/SN anime, which was primarily (and messily, from what I've read) based on the VN's first route? Doubt there's a need to worry-- Shirou's character develops differently in an UBW-focused adaptation. Heck, he probably gets the most, or at least the loudest, BAMF moments here than in any other scenario.

That scene when Shiro was lying on the ground looked almost exactly like in the first episode of Fate/Zero when Kariya Matou was lying on the ground.
