Whoa...

But it's nice to know he apologized.

Don't think this is relevant to the quality of the show. Still looks great and is quite entertaining to boot, much better than Problem Children in my opinion.

Way to miss my point, there will be people here that reads this story that isn't watching the anime thinking this equals the quality of the anime. It's pretty much the same thing Total Eclipse got judged for after all.

If i was speaking about myself i would have said "I don't think."
Rather i was speaking in third person.

The original artist forgave them, so the artist seems to be okay with how things panned out.

After all, we all understand why some anime staff would take 'short cuts', or even think that they would somehow get it past the fans.

I think what shocked me most was that the artist didn't go 'omg give me all your money'.

Perhaps there is a spirit of understanding and comaraderie amongst them all.

Or the production committee sweetened the pot, privately.

People need to get over their fear of thinking other people won't unconditionally love the show for whatever reason (and I know that's what this is about because I've seen how fans of this show react to the idea that anyone could conceivably not love it somewhere on the internet) cause guess what? There's people out there that won't like it for other reasons and don't necessarily feel there's a specific objective quality to the anime. This really has nothing to do that sort of thing anyway and I don't see anybody equating the shows staffs unintentional plagiarism (but still plagiarism) with anything to do with what happens in the show. It's just a symbol after all.

Anyway this was handled surprisingly well and publicly for Japanese business practices. Usually there's an attempt to beat around the bush and indirectly assess blame but in a way that allows everyone involved to save face in the long term, but here everyone seems to have been quite cordial and direct.

Actually, i don't really care myself just the fact people make this connection usually annoys me. I will defend something i don't even watch if there's something of value i can bring up that actually is related and a valid point.

I'm enjoying it and it's entertaining but i won't go any further than stating a point like this. I'm not some fanboy that goes screaming masterpiece everywhere.

It's related to the story? It's a valid opinion that some people will think rather it's a minority or a majority is irrelevant.

Or the fact the professional actually apologized rather than pull a Greg Land and go "**** you, you don't know how hard my job is" and still do it. Japan's just pretty polite like that I guess...

They probably just found it on the internet and didn't research that it belonged to somebody. Not like stuff such as "Lupin" when they specifically didn't ask permission from the Leblanc estate.

Real life locations, props and the like, I can understand... But Magic Circles? Shouldn't those be designed from the ground up as opposed to sourced online?

I haven't caught up to the latest episodes yet, but Magic Circles are pretty much something that is usually unique to the world or show. Look at the Magic Circles of Cardcaptor Sakura, Nanoha, even Kamen Rider Wizard. All of them are unique and have something to represent.

...but all in all, I'm actually really impressed by the artist's response. Truly, it's harder to forgive than seek vengeance and I am humbled by him.

The context of the rest of your sentence hows you meant "I don't know"

This phrase CANNOT be third person since it's all your opinion.

I'm glad they apologized and the artist accepted it. I'm more concerned with the whole mind reading plot hole (have not watched 8 yet). I hope that it wasn't a plot hole and is used for the story later on otherwise it would literally ruin the entire rest of the show for me.
