I wonder how many people that can't make the Washington/Philadelphia shows because of the Wizards scheduling conflict really wanted to see Miku.

Are they offering a half-price discount for those who are ONLY going to see Miku?

Wow this is awesome to see, Lady Gaga thanks for giving both Miku Hatsune and Crayon Pop more US exposure.

Yes, it's just not good to give Gaga more public exposure.
(Seriously, this's like the time the Monkees wanted to give young Jimi Hendrix his first big break by letting him open their tour-- Yes, they earnestly believed they were doing him a favor letting him ride their exposure to the mainstream, but guys, think you picked the WRONG audience...) |

Heh, we say the same about idol groups --their acts are both fake-- but hey what're we gonna do. |

What CAN you do?: Make it Miku-Miku. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0pb0OWEEvM (..."Fake"? Nobody's putting big-@$$ sunglasses over those eyes.) Last edited by EricJ2 on Thu May 08, 2014 3:37 am; edited 2 times in total |

Ehh... from what I see in the clip, she treated Miku with respect. So what's exactly the problem here?

We're kind of going off-topic, but the Monkees were pretty bold in rebelling against their management, finally writing their own music (some of which was pretty good), pushing their fans away from easy bubblegum pop, and even putting Frank freaking Zappa on American TV. Music history's actually been pretty kind to them; they were far better than they needed to be. Who knows, maybe the same will be true of Gaga. The dismissive view of Gaga as a no-talent spectacle is the same thing some people said of Madonna early in her career. If Gaga is a media contrivance… isn't that exactly what Miku is too? Maybe this is just some meta commentary that Miku represents Gaga's ultimate form, the completely synthetic pop star. |

The hardcore fans for Miku and Gaga are very different but there are lots of casual fans of both. I'm one and I would love to be able to attend the concerts.
