Damn, that's pretty impressive that Watamote managed to knock SAO out of a number one spot. I still haven't gotten volume 3 yet-- Yen Press's prices on manga is (almost) the equivalent to Aniplex's prices (I say almost cause it's not completely fair-- Aniplex's DVDs are expensive to the point where it's completely ludicrous. Yen Press's stuff is expensive too, but not quite on the WTF level of Aniplex).

Has SAO made it to number 1 at all? I'm pretty sure it's just been wandering 2-4 the last few weeks.

Oh, I just meant that it was surprising to see Watamote beat SAO period- poor word choice on my part. But it is a bit surprising to see SAO hasn't gotten a number one spot at all, given how popular it is. Maybe it has something to do with the pricing- I think it's regular retail price is about $22 or something like that.

Yeah, that's about right. Probably because it includes the Aincrad manga's Volume 1 and 2, in one print. Their next manga release for SAO, Fairy Dance, seems to only be the Volume 1, and is much lower in price.
There's also how the Art in Aincrad is.. unfavorable (for me at least.)
I don't really find it too surprising though.

well, look who is popular now
PD: and yes, I agree with the opinion about the price of Yen Press's products, their titles are indeed expensive :/

I'm a bit surprised that A Certain Scientific Railgun has made its appearance on the Manga Best Seller List. I had no idea it was that popular.

Awesome! Hope Yen will add Watamote on iBooks soon like their other titles recently.
