*Pats on back* Sorry my friend, but all promotional material has been strictly Tamako/Mochizou.

Yeah, this is unfortunately looking like it's pretty much guaranteed to be exclusively a TamaMochi romance story. The trailers make me doubt if Midori will even get a chance to confess her feelings to Tamako, which i can only consider a major disappointment, as she's the most interesting member of the love triangle IMO.

While Mochizou is not a bad guy by any means, he is simply not all that interesting. He's kinda sympathetic in a basic childhood friend/boy next door sort of way, but doesn't really do anything to ever elevate himself above his status as a a generic nice-guy love interest. Midori on the other hand had some really nice scenes in the TV series. Episode 2 in particular did a great job of showing her feelings for Tamako with a remarkable charm and subtlety, while episode 10 was likewise quite effective in exploring her fear of letting her friends down while being reluctant to ask for their help due to her strong sense of responsibility. The series did an impressive job of highlighting both the strength and frailty of her personality, which would make it especially disappointing if she were to be relegated to watching from the sidelines in the Tamako Love Story movie.

Mochizou was definitely underused in the TV series, but I chalk that up to the "We can't have men interfering with our cute girls doing cute things" mentality these shows usually have. Hopefully he'll get a good arc in the movie.

Midori certainly is a good character, but her role in this movie is probably just going to be giving Tamako that last push to be with Mochizou (from the trailer it looks like Mochizou will be leaving and Tamako has to tell him her feelings before he goes).
