Had no idea Nippon Ichi also makes horror/criminal/mystery game franchise. I thought they were more into stuffs like Disgaea.

That said, story and art look pretty nightmarish. And somehow, the heroine and her partner just screams 'Mulder and Scully' to me.

How's the gameplay, though? If it's presented in visual novel style, then I doubt we'll see it localised Sad

If it's like the first Hayarigami games, it should take the form of a sound novel, with each story offering two distinct paths: by making the right choices you'll steer the story towards either a scientific solution, or an occult solution. You'll usually only understand all of a case when you've played both sides of a story (i.e. the 'real' truth behind each cases has aspects of both the scientific and the occult route).

When they say horror-adventure, do they actually mean you get to explore in third person? Because to me this screams visual novel

Yeah it looks like for sure it is a visual novel. A shame, I would have been interested if it was a 3rd person game. Definitely the most interesting NIS game I've seen art wise.
