Part of me really wants to scream, "Damn ungrateful brats!" Kids these days, honestly. He went to so much trouble and they don't care.

Depends on how sturdily it was built.

"Hey kids, isn't this cool?"

"Cool!"

"Wait! Don't climb on it! Don't touch that!"

"...Lame."

Who wants a toy you can't play with?

This reminds me heavily of this article: http://shine.yahoo.com/parenting/parents-allow-kids-play-million-dollar-tate-sculpture-173000910.html?bcmt=comments-postbox

Those kids... Confused

At least the model wasn't made for nothing, right? Since it's now on display.

Ingratitude is a sad thing, and it's been bred heavily into the today's entitled youth. I picture his grandkids have smartphones and never looked up long enough to get a look at the statue. And because Mikeski's post was very appropriate, here's a scene that happens more often than not:

"Hey kids, check out what your grandfather worked so hard to make! Isn't it wonderful?"

*clicking and texting, no acknowledgment registers*

"Can you at least look at it? He worked eight months on it."

*half a second glance and they look back down to keep texting*

"...I'm taking your phones away right now."

*painful, bratty shrieking ensues*

Anyway, at least the plus side to this is that it's now on display where appreciative folks can see it.

In their defense, maybe those kids are just too young to know about Zeta? Laughing

Best that they don't get interested in Gundam as the series all start off strong but then turn to crap by the end, as though they were made using FMA's "transmute to gold" alchemy where it looks great at first and then turns itself back into dross after a certain period of time.

That said, I definitely misinterpreted the title of this article!

"Gundam is so uncool; it's only for oyajis." Smile
