... I don't remember who "Keith" is in the series...

Otherwise, FUNimation seem to be going all out and expecting real sales results if they are selling a portion of a 25 episode show for over $100 even with a limited edition. I hope it pays off, as I'm quite willing to buy whatever Manga UK serve up. The fanbase may be crazy but are they that crazy for AOT?

I'm looking forward to purchasing the standard edition for this one, it's cool that it's lower priced than normal Funi combo packs. Funimation really seems to be counting on hardcore and casual anime fans alike to buy this one; I hope it pays off.

The digipak for the premium editions is a pretty nice touch though, even if it does seem like its forcing some disk stacking.

Yup. But I would use the word "dedicated" over crazy; I don't hide that I have such an attitude towards Strike Witches, so I can relate.

This price doesn't even shock me, since the prices here in Germany are significantly higher.
Hell.. I even paid 120€ (~$165) for alle the Guilty Crown volumes, and they didn't even include any collector items...
I sure chose the wrong hobby.

J Michael Tatum is voicing Erwin!

Funny thing too, since he and Daisuke Ono have voiced the same characters spoiler[Sebastian Laughing]

I knew Patrick Seitz was going be in this but i wanted him to voice Reiner Sad. I think that would be the perfect role for him. I have no problems with him being Keith as he fits that role too but he's only shown for like 1 or 2 episodes sadly which makes his role in the show rather forgettable.

The sets look very nice, but I am concerned that the limited and collector editions might not come with boxes to house both parts. I am fine with digipacks as long as the discs do not get dusty.

Hopefully Funimation can clarify this before the sets are released.

By the way, J. Michael Tatum as Erwin Smith seems like a great choice.

We made this from our 3D printer:

Good that Funimation is releasing it in simultaneous price tiers.

They have to lower the price a bit to create more of a price difference, and they likely expect to sell a lot more of it so they can lower the price.

Dang that's some really cool anime goodies. It almost makes me tempted to buy the set even though I'm poor and would rather just buy the complete set when it comes out.

Looks like Funimation is going all out for this series and I think it's worth it. The sales of Attack on Titan manga volumes in the U.S. is nothing to laugh at.

I'm half-expecting Vic Mignogna to appear in the cast list as somebody. He's in practically every anime, I wouldn't be surprised if he's playing as one of the main characters.

They're really going all out! AOT is a special "next big thing" case, but I really hope Funi continues with limited/special releases like this.

...And I think I might cancel my pre-order of the limited edition in order to grab the collector's. Aw.

I like the show enough to pay $70 (Amazon pre-order price) for the limited, but I definitely don't care enough to get the collector's edition.

Good to see them going all-out on AoT.

Agreed, a box to hold both parts seems to be the only thing that may be missing, would like one.

Loved this show, preordered the LE when it first went up, now gotta think about grabbing Funi's collector's edition.

Yeah, he'll sound good in either role. The longer one would be nice since he's usually a great VA. Those Keith scenes at the beginning are pretty great at least.

Oh man, he should be a great Erwin Smith.
