Correct me if I'm wrong, but in Akikan I remember only Melon and Najimi having feelings for Kakeru. So it's not a harem, only a love triangle.

I'm surprised 'We Without Wings' is not at 1#.

For the poll, I voted for FLCL's TV set. That was one cool 'bot. I hated Gill from Dragon Ball GT, so there was no way I was voting for him.
Interesting list, even if harem's are NOT my thing.
My favorite, if I had to choose one, would be Kanon.

I am hugely disappointed that Mechazawa from Cromartie High isn't in the poll.
The only show from the list this week I've seen is The World God Only Knows. From reading the descriptions, it seems even "strange" harem anime is mostly the same as any other...

Out of those harems shows I have seen only My Bride Is a Mermaid. I like harem shows but I am just way behind the times and have not seen any of the newer ones.
My favorite one that I can think of from what I have seen would be Sekirei. It definitely, and literally, has the "magical girlfriend falls from the sky" scenario, but that is just for the first girl. The others are different.
For the new poll I picked Masha from Tokyo Mew Mew, but I had to think for a while to choose it over the Tachikomas. Again, I have not seen most of the other shows.
My favorite robot side-kick would probably be Minawa from Mahoromatic or Multi in To Heart.

Somehow, I feel Kampfer should be here somewhere, not because the guy was occasionally forced to become a girl but because the only one who really cared just wanted him for her. And he, she, was ok with that. One of the girls preferred the male form but she was outvoted. Even by the "guy" it would seem...
And then there's the whole "school split by sexes, fully enforced and secured complete with wall and barbed wire" setting which is not only never explained, it's not even excused. But it was the only way to have the guy keep the same name as male and female without raising questions from the side characters. Even though the forms look alike. So wouldn't somebody have at least considered they were related? No? Seriously?
Also, he may have ended up with himself. Sorry, pronoun trouble. She may have ended up with himself. It may have been just a dream ending but it made more sense than the rest of it.

Mechazawa isn't a robot though, despite what others may tell you.
He's just a regular student.
Anyway; toss me up for Ropett. Best. Robot. Sidekick. Ever.
Also; I'm surprised that Asura Cryin didn't make the list but then again, older show. Tomoharu's got a ghost, a demon girl and a robotic augmented dormmate in the first season. That's not even going into Ania in the later portions who absorbs luck.

I don't know how the manga ran, but yeah the Anime was just a triangle.

What defines "robot" or "sidekick"? I'm thinking there should be more options.
I'd prefer to vote for Nano from Nichijou. (If Doraemon, the title character of a show, is a "sidekick", she is.)
If not, the assistroids. They're scientifically proven to be six times as awesome as tachikomas. You can't argue with science.
(Or Chachumaru from Negima. Maybe Multi from To Heart or someone from Mahoromatic, as Touma said. Or "Hand Maid" May, even. Normad? Does a plushie with a sarcastic AI count? Raising Heart is kind of robot-like, almost...)

For sidekick, I would go with Ru-Chan from Miss Monochrome....
Mainly because it is fresh on my mind.

I had the same thoughts. Is Tama from Gintama in the series enough to be considered a sidekick? Does one need to sidekick for the main character? She's at least Otose's sidekick, I'd think.
Is a sidekick limited to being humanoid (then the Tachis are out)? Friender from Casshern Sins was a faithful sidekick.
Also, Canti has a name besides "TV set."

In regards to We Without Wings, as several Korean gamers have found out the hard way, not sleeping will kill you dead.
Of course that plot hole could have easily been fixed by making the main character a demi god, a mutant, one of the undead, a futuristic soldier pumped up on military grade drugs, or even a evil doppleganger from a mirror universe.
