Excellent, been hoping for news out of both. Though the two month wait's going to feel really long now.

Looking forward to new Gundam news and also hopefully news about that Gundam Origin anime project and as a Gonzo fan I'm looking forward to that too.

More or less looking forward to that Bayonetta movie as well, at least for her and the action, since I don't expect much out of the story from a Bayonetta movie.

Hope it's a Gundam show I want to watch. Build Fighters is what it is and it's nice to have pretty quality action scenes and cameos from older mechs. Still, I hated Yu Gi Oh and Pokemon as a Kid, so I'm not going to like the Gundam version of it. It dosen't take itself as seriously as those shows, but eh it aint for me.

So I hope these Gundam announcements are pleasing.

When I was skimming the headlines, I initially thought the title was saying Gonzo was doing the next Gundam and my head was about to explode. Although, that might be an interesting train wreck.

You know, at this point, the announcement should be "after Unicorn is finished, no more Gundam for ten years".

Nearly everything Gundam-related within the past decade has pretty much been a waste of time.

Please let it be an AU and not another UC project. I know Build Fighters was not to be taken seriously but it not only crossed the line on 'silly territory', it threw up on it. I hope Gundam goes back to good old military war dramas. No more Build Fighters nonsense, it just doesn't work with me.

On another note, it would be nice if all sidestories of the AU series were animated. I'd especially like to see Gundam X: Under the Moonlight, Gundam Wing G-Unit (aka The Last Outpost), and Gundam AGE: ~Memories of Sid~.

Actually, let the next project be set within the Gundam AGE timeline!

In my opinion most of Gundam related stuff post Turn A Gundam has been good (except for that stupid Age thing).
More Gundam Build Fighters goodness and less "old fashioned" Gundams wannbees the better the Gundam franchise will be.
Lets be honest here, the old guard Gundam fans won't live forever and I certainly don't want an eternal rehash of the one year war (or another Camille wannbee or another Uso wannbee). Sunrise is doing the right thing forgetting about that old story and concentrating on new characters and new storylines (even going as far as wink-winking to old time fans).
I've had enough of the UC timeline. Once Gundam Unicorn ends what are they gonna do ? The life of Mineva Zabi's children ? Give me a break. The OYW should have ended with Char's Counterattack. Unfortunately Sunrise was unable to let go and so we got the full shit treatment, Gundam Z, Gundam ZZ, Victory Gundam etc... At least Turn A ended un being a good show.

Hey, at least we won't get another steaming pile of poop children's program. I'm incredibly happy to hear any good Gundam news.

Agreed on the first part especially, and probably wouldn't mind the second, would completely love a new big AU show (totally loved 00 and would love to be hyped like that again).

As for the last bit, no more AGE universe please.

God AGE was terrible. No more.

At this point it really dosen't matter where it's set. If it's in the UC, unless it's tied to the OYW again-which would be lame- it might as well be a AU series thats just a bit more grounded.

If it's a straight up AU series, well I hope they have a good hook.

Though if it's Gundam The Origin. Good luck living up to that manga.

I hope if the new series is Origins, that they don't change the show too much to accommodate today's viewing public's tastes. Hopefully, Origins will have same love and TLC that Space Battleship Yamato 2199 got.

Gundam Build Fighter is amusing show, the animation is top notch for what it is. There a game called Gundam Breaker available in Japan, which is arguably the video game version of this on PS3. Its okay game, meant for fans build their own Gundam universe machines. Perhaps support GUNPA, if no one buys thoses...we don't have Gundam anime to begin with.

If they do make more, no one's making you watch it. But I want more of it because I liked it, a lot actually. I know a lot of people's opinion changed about it once it ended, maybe not as much as it could have because the ending was considered rushed.

But as it's been pointed it by many people, there are those who DECIDED that it was bad before it even aired.

I know a certain a-hole is going to have a hair up their ass about this.

Well that's been a problem for Sunrise for years, the second best tv anime Sunrise has made in the past 10 years was My Otome. Pretty much every other series Sunrise has made involved the writer and Director all of a sudden changing how the anime feels, character motivations, and the plot soddenly goes insane.
