Bonus fact: Studio Pierrot also is the current animator of Legend of Korra.

Mixed thoughts on this so far but I'll see how this goes.

Yeah, they so some episodes of Korra, but Studio Mir in S. Korea still works on Korra, too.

Yay, shojo! Shojo just doesn't get enough anime. I hope the manga can come here, too.

"After losing a game of rock, paper, scissors to her older sisters, she is forced to unwillingly marry the king of the Sun Kingdom"

I get the whole thing about being "original" and all, but I would rather have a cliche formula then this one.

As long as it's done right, I don't care which Studio animates this. Ok, maybe I am glad that it's not DEEN.

PLEASE ANIME GODS! PLEASE LET THIS BE SUCCESSFUL AND BRING MORE SHOUJO ANIME!

At the moment that doesn't appear to be the case as Studio Mir is doing the next season solo. While i'm happy for fans of the manga who are getting a new anime to watch, considering how awful Pierrot were on Korra and are on all their current shows in terms of consistency, this doesn't bode well for all involved.

I don't see the problem.

Only for episodes 1-6 and 9 of the second season. The rest of the series (prior to and from this point on) is done by Studio Mir.
