It's being helmed by a handful of people who held lower positions on other series. Everyone starts somewhere, but you'd think Soul Eater was big enough to get more of the first series' staff...?

This is a lower budget spin off, and people who are better at action series might not be the same kind of people they want working on a slice of life comedy.

I wonder if this is going to pull a Railgun and end up being more popular and sell more than Soul Eater.

It wouldn't take much to, given that the first series only sold like 4k.

I was going to watch this regardless, but after seeing Masakazu Hashimoto's name in the credits, I'm really looking forward to it. He did a superb job on Tari Tari, both as a director and as a writer.
